To Jonas Fonseca: My name is Robert Watson. I am the owner of a very small software production company. You may view my companies website and learn more about my company by linking to http://www.watsontechgroup.com. The nature of my correspondence today involves the use of your registered trademark, being, "Elinks." I am presently designing a game which I intend to sell for profit. The game is called Uniopoly. The name is derived from two words Unix and Monopoly. Uniopoly is a game designed along the lines of the classic board game Monopoly, but is quite different in that you purchase stocks not real estate. The basics of Uniopoly include the use of dice, a virtual board, fortune cards, pretend money, and stocks. Currently the only opponent in the game is artificial intelligence and there can be a maximum of two players. Uniopoly is written in C++. For Uniopoly I have selected some of the most outstanding "Unix-oriented" companies and softwares to be used in conjunction with the pretend stocks that a player may buy. Yours is particular software title I would like to use in Uniopoly. I would like to request from you written permission to use your registered trademark, "Elinks" in Uniopoly. If written permission is not a feasible option I am interested in any available agreement for inclusion of "Elinks" in Uniopoly. If you would like to view a current binary (Win32) or the source code for the Uniopoly project please write me. Thank you for your time, Robert Watson robert@watsontechgroup.com 8/4/2007
